
About Mark Turner:
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Raised in Atlanta, Georgia
Graduated from the University of West Georgia,
Bachelor’s degree – Business Information Systems
Serving Scouting for 34 years, Mark’s career began in 1987 with the Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America serving for 20 years.
Mark currently serves as the Executive Director/CEO for the Mecklenburg County Council, Boy Scouts of America in Charlotte, NC and has been serving in this position since February 2008. Mark has a passion for serving the community through Scouting and believes in the incredible power of our organization and how it can positively influence the country.
Mark’s been married 29 years to Diana.
Together they have two children, and a 7 year old German Shepherd …
Will: 26 years old – Eagle Scout, graduate of Furman University, Greenville, SC and is a Cost Analyst Engineer with Turner Construction.
Rachel: 23 years old – A graduate of University of North Carolina –Wilmington works for the FBI here in Charlotte.
Mark enjoys outdoor activities including fly fishing, bass fishing, hunting and anything that involves spending time with his family.

Please join your friends from the Business Leaders of Charlotte on the third Tuesday of every month minus December and a short summer hiatus.
