    Lunch instructions; please arrive by 11:45 AM to Network. We begin promptly at 12 Noon and end by 1:00 PM. Brio offers Complimentary (Free) Valet Parking at the front door in the Traffic Circle (Roundabout). 

    Please come inside, past the host stand to the back of the restaurant, we have a private room sectioned out just for us. 

    Introduce yourself to the door attendant and sign in if you are a member and grab your name badge. If you are a guest, please fill out the guest section with your information and fill out a name tag sticker. Make sure to introduce yourself to the Directors and the Chapter Membership Committee Representative (CMCR) so we know you are there and what industry you represent. 

    Brio presents us a limited menu of five options. Please let the Server know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions that our limited menu cannot accommodate as stated. Circle the dish you want on the printed menu, write your name and your drink choice, lay your cash or credit card on it and set it near your seat so the Server can collect and send the orders to the kitchen by 12. 

    We will begin the meeting promptly at noon and discuss BLOC, BLOC Business, Upcoming BLOC Events and have an opportunity to discuss each of our businesses with the group.

    • Our luncheon is located in the Private dining area of Dilworth Grille just for our group. Once you come in the front door, please walk around the bar to the back dining area and then proceed down the back hallway to the private dining room.

    • Please arrive by 11:45 AM to Network. We begin promptly at 12 Noon and end by 1:00 PM. We will begin the meeting promptly at noon and discuss BLOC, BLOC Business, Upcoming BLOC Events and have an opportunity to discuss each of our businesses with the group.

    • Our lunch will be a choice of a grilled chicken salad or a rotating entree item, which will cost $20. We begin having members make their selections upon arrival, so if you plan to eat, please put your order in and drop your Credit/Debit card in the glass pitcher on the sign in table and they will run the cards while we have our meeting. At the end of the meeting, your card will be available to pick up and sign. Please don't forget to grab your card before you leave!

    Johnny Jennings was sworn in as Chief for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on July 1, 2020.He was hired by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in May of 1992. Since that time, he has held a variety of patrol, training and specialized assignments at various ranks within the organization.

    He was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief in October of 2016. As a Deputy Chief, Jennings was assigned to the Support Services Group where he oversaw the Community Engagement Bureau, School Resource Officers, Animal Care and Control, and other divisions within CMPD. He has also served as the Deputy Chief over Patrol and Administrative Services. As the Patrol Deputy Chief, he was responsible for over 1,200 employees and the daily functions of direct services to the citizens of Charlotte-Mecklenburg. During his time over Administrative Services, he maintained leadership over police recruitment and training, the Communications Bureau, and Computer Technology Services.

    Chief Jennings attended the 242nd Session of the FBI National Academy in 2010 and attended the Senior Management Institute for Police in 2017. He is a 1990 graduate of Appalachian State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and earned his Master's in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University in 2003.


    Please join your friends from the Business Leaders of Charlotte on the third Tuesday of every month minus December and a short summer hiatus. You will enjoy local leaders of the Charlotte community and have the opportunity to ask direct questions. Past speakers have included Peter Gorman, Anthony Foxx, Jennifer Roberts, Chief Monroe, Chief Putney, Sue Myrick, Danny Morrison, and Sheriff Carmichael.
